Who Goes Where?

Does mom love her daughter more than she loves her husband? Does dad spend way more time with his son that he is neglecting who he should love more than anything-his dear wife?

Sometimes in the family these "boundaries" are created. Boundaries can show the relationships between family individuals.

Poor boundaries are very open, so they are often easily violated. There seems to be no privacy in these 'boundaries' or lack of.  .   .   .   .   .   .   .   .   .

Rigid boundaries are solid. Little information, love and warmth is exchanged between these family members.  __________________

If boundaries are too rigid, it creates a lack of communication and even lack of relationship. This can be hurtful to a child if they do not feel support from a parent or member of their family. If boundaries are poor, it can create 'sides' in a family, which can create unity issues because people can be upset easily by way of sharing private information (example: a parent telling a child information, opinions, or feelings that should be kept between husband and wife). This can lead to mistrust, hurt, and even jealousy if a child has a better relationship with their mother than their father does with their mother.

There is an important order to family. It is vital in a marriage that the couple have appropriate boundaries together, and also with the children. Husband and wife should always put each other first, after the Lord. Then together in unity, raise their children in the best way they know possible, keeping boundaries clear. This creates trust and respect within a family unit, and creates an atmosphere of love and beauty.
