Truth and Tolerance

There are questions raised in family relations as to whether cultures in the world are or should be treated equal, if they are truthful, right or wrong. Even though all cultures may be different, it is Christ-like to love others and treat them with respect.

"Tolerance is defined as a friendly and fair attitude toward unfamiliar opinions and practices or toward the persons who hold or practice them". -Dallin H. Oaks

As long as the actions and traditions of any individual or culture are uplifting and in tune with the Spirit and do not go against the commandments of the Lord, it is good.

There are many cultures in the world today. Each brings a unique and different outlook on life. As Latter Day Saints we should remember the love Heavenly Father has for each of his children, regardless of culture.
